When we hear scriptures about the Lord refining us like a precious metal, it sounds nice. But if you have been present for precious metal being refined you know it's anything but a nice process. When metal is being refined it is hot, there are sparks, and it's dangerous. Similarly when we are refined by the Lord it's a difficult process. But, the man who wants to be sharpened stays with it to the end! A man who is refined by the Lord's fire is a man who is equipped for any trail this world has to offer.
