"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near."
Hebrews 10:24-25

Why would we make the effort to get our families in Church? We have so many things on our plates don't we? We have to work to get the bills paid, we have to get all the honey-dos done, we have to run all the errands and at some point we need to rest! So, why would we make an effort to get ourselves and our families to church every Sunday? Well, aside from the constant biblical command in scripture to do so (OT and NT), what is a good reason for giving up our Sunday morning free time/rest time and get our family in church?
#1 I'll repeat myself, it's a biblical command. If you signed up for
this devotional ministry you must have some sort of respect for the
authority of scripture and scripture regularly commands and makes the assumption that we all make efforts to gather together for worship.
#2 When we submit ourselves to spiritual leadership we demonstrate to our families that the authorities in the world exist for our good. You can try to explain this to your children all you want, but until you demonstrate this practically, they won't buy into it. As we lead men, so goes our family.
#3 We will find ourselves regularly "stirred up" for good works and
love. Let me assure you men, this is vital. When we gather together as believers we find ourselves surrounded by people on the same mission as us and it encourages us to continue living out our faith. We give ourselves over to a lot of things that "stir us up" and when we are regularly in community and worship with other believers we find ourselves "stirred up" for things that aren't just good, but Holy!

Make every effort brothers! Stay Faithful!
