Michael New, a longtime member of our church, passed away in July 2024. As part of the closing of his estate, $175,000 was given to our church.

In Michael’s trust, three areas of ministry were specified for these funds to be used, and we know these were important to him: outreach, fellowship, and discipleship.

Knowing Michael, we believe this gift was intended to be used for ministry, not simply to sit and collect interest. With that in mind, it is now our responsibility to prayerfully consider what our church needs.

The deacons have slips of paper for you to take home. Please spend some time praying, and then write down three things you believe our church needs in order to better enable and equip the areas of outreach, fellowship, and discipleship.

Please return these recommendation slips to one of the deacons by June 28.

Keep in mind the twofold goal: to honor Michael New’s wishes, and above all, to glorify God by blessing the ministry of this church.
